Magnaflux Magnetic Particle Cables
We offer a range of cables and connectors to allow you to outfit your magnetic bench or electromagnetic current generator to suit your specific parts and process. Whether you are testing a large investment casting or doing mag particle inspection in a difficult to reach location, these heavy-duty cables and connectors will help you set-up your Magnaflux machine just the way you need.
These cables make it easy to establish a longitudinal magnetic field within a component. A major benefit to the cables is that you're not limited to three or five turns that are in a standard coil; but rather, you're able to decide how many turns around the part you want. For instance, if you're trying to charge a part that's made out of low permeable material, you can wrap the cord around the part as many times as you need. The same goes for parts with high permeability, just wrap the cord around it once or twice to get the desired magnetizing force. The underlying principle is that the number of wraps is determined by the magnetizing force needed and the length of the cable.
