Parker Research's Field Flux Strips

Designed to efficiently verify magnetic field orientation and strength. These test pieces formally known as Type G Burhma-Castrol stips contain a core of high-permeable steel with brass cladding on both sides. The core material has three slots of varying widths, providing discontinuities that appear as linear indications.
Their use is popular with wet, visible inspections but also work well with dry magnetic powders. And although they're stiffer than traditional test pieces like QQI's, they don't need to be permanently affixed to a part; thus allowing them to be re-used for multiple inspections.
These strips come in two variations:
