The 'Magnaflux' name has long been synonymous with heavy equipment for magnetic particle testing.  It's their manufacturing of quality magnetic wet benches that have given them a reputation for long-lasting and effective machines.

From the options below, you'll see how their extensive line satisfies nearly every facet of the magnetic particle insepction; from providing varying methods of magnetization, to accomodating parts of different dimension, sizes, and weights, Magnaflux has you covered.

A-Series

The A-Series magnetic benches provide Alternating Current magnetization for finding surface defects during wet method magnetic particle inspection. The two outputs are independently adjustable to set each magnetic field, circular or longitudinal.

A-2030

  • Magnetizing current (amps): AC: 3,000
  • Maximum part length: 54 in
  • Maximum part diameter: 12 in

AD-Series

The AD-Series magnetic benches provide 4,000 amps of Alternating Current and 5,000 amps of Direct Current magnetization for finding surface and sub-surface defects during wet method magnetic particle inspection. The two outputs are independently adjustable to set each magnetic field, circular or longitudinal. AD-Series benches are available in two models: AD-2045 and ADH-2045.

AD-2045

  • Magnetizing current (amps):
    • AC: 4,000
    • FWDC: 5,000

D-Series

The D-Series is one of Magnaflux's most powerful wet magnetic benches. Providing 3-phase Full Wave Direct Current, this MPI equipment offers maximum magnetization for finding surface and sub-surface defects with clearer indications while using minimal power.

D-2060

  • Magnetizing current (amps):
    • FWDC: 6,000
  • Maximum part length: 54 in

  • Magnetizing current (amps):
    • FWDC: 10,000
  • Maximum part length: 54 in
  • Maximum part diameter: 12 in
  • Optional upgrade to be UL/CSA compliant

MD-Series

The MD-Series multi-directional magnetic bench offers Alternating Current, Half Wave Direct Current and 1-phase Full Wave Direct Current for time-saving multidirectional magnetization which can find defects in all orientations with one mag-cycle.

MD-2030

  • Magnetizing current (amps):
    • AC: 2,500
    • HWDC: 3,000

Universal WE

The Universal WE magnetic wet bench is multi-direction magnetic wet bench designed to completely magnetize the surfaceof parts up to 35 inches long in a single shot. Potentially cutting inspection time in half because the part can inspected in both directions at once. The Universal WE offers 200 - 2,000 Amps AC for contact shots and 1,500 - 15,000 Amp-turns AC for coil shots. The two outputs are independently adjustable to set each magnetic field, circular or longitudinal.

  • Magnetizing current (amps):
    • AC: 2,000
  • Maximum clamping length: 35.4 in

Database System

The Database System is a 12” touchscreen operator interface with custom software to help improve inspection quality and productivity. The database system is available as an upgrade on D-Series and MD-Series magnetic particle wet benches.

The process control system reduces operator variability / human error while using mag equipment, eliminates manual record keeping, and improves traceability for parts, jobs, customers, operators, and more. The database system is designed explicitly for NDT teams focused on operational excellence that are looking for a solution to maximize time and increase throughput.
