FPI Systems

The FPI systems provided by CHiNDT meet all international standards and industrial/corporate specifications, e.g. ISO 3452, ASTM E1417, ASTM E165, NADCAP, etc.

 

CHiNDT designs, creates, and supports seven different types of FPI systems

 

1. Tank Type - Manual FPI Lines with Hoist - Set of tanks of varying functions with manual hoists/cranes for parts and basket transferring between stations. Popular in aerospace with parts of varying dimensions

 

2. Tank Type - Manual FPI Lines with Rollers - Set of tanks of varying functions with manual or automatic rollers for parts and basket transferring.  Popular in the aerospace and low production automotive industries

 

3. Tank Type - Automatic FPI Lines with Gantry/Transporters - A set of tanks of varying functions with automatic gantries/transporters for parts and basket transferring with process parameter tracability.  Mostly used in high production aerospace and automotive industries

 

4. Automated Monorail FPI Lines - Parts are hung on monorail chains and proceed through the system station by station.  Mostly used in very high production automotive plants with typical production of 10,000+ parts per day.  It's also popular in high production aerospace industry with parts of varying dimensions

 

5. Electrostatic Spray Booths - A set of booths generally with cart or manual hoist for parts transferring. Ideal for very big, hollow, or complex parts which are not suitable for FPI by immersion applications.  Also a great option for companies looking to save on penetrant and water consumption.

 

6. Converyor Type FPI Lines - Parts are placed on conveyors and go through stations.  Mostly used in the medium production automorive industry.

 

7. Single STation PT Platform - A single penetrant station for penetrant spray, removal, manual drying, and developing.  Ideal for small NDT labs or companies with limited space.
