Magnaflux's digital hall effect meter is used for measuring magnetic field strength
As any NDT professional will tell you, it's extremely important to understand the strength of the magnetic field when conducting a magnetic particle inspection. The proper intensity must be high enough to cause an indication to form, but not too high to cause non-relevant indications to mask relevant ones. To cause an indication to form, the field strength in the object must produce a flux leakage field that is strong enough to hold the magnetic particles in place over a discontinuity. This is why flux measurement devices can provide important information about the field strength.
The digital hall effect meter is the perfect tool to measure the strength of AC alternating-current and DC direct-current magnetic fields. This hand-held digital guassmeter features an easy-to-read LCD screen and simple push button operation. Each digital hall effect meter comes with a traverse probe, a zero gauss chamber, batteries, operating manual and case. A full 7-point traceable calibration is included with each meter. The meter includes peak-hold functions and readings can be displayed in Gauss, Tesla, or Amp-Meter units.
